Gymnastics Meet!

The kids entered a Gymnastic's Tournament yesterday and won 3 medals a piece!! They had the time of their lives!! They each competed in 3 events: Tumbling tramp, Tramp, & Floor. Of course, they have little experience and were really not very good, but they didn't know that! The gym was packed and had over 250 people watching. Wyatt was one of only 3 boys! That's it! I just knew he wouldn't be able to handle it, but he impressed us all! I was soooo very proud and was crying! He just did every event like he knew how and wasn't concerned that all eyes were on him. Carson and I couldn't believe it. It was such a neat experience for us all! They especially loved receiving their medals and standing up on the winner's podium!

Ft. Worth

Well, I know it's been a while since I've posted anything. Time has gotten away from me!

The kids have been doing great! We went to Ft. Worth several weeks ago and took the kids to the rodeo and stock show! They loved it. Tatum entered the mutten bustin' (sp?) and had a ball!! We stayed downtown in cowtown and got to do lots of great shopping and eating! Carson had a sale at Superior in which he sold our own calves. They topped the market that day!!!! We were thrilled! Best of all, we got to witness the sale at the stockyards and we were even on T.V.! It was a great experience..

The kids loved the stock show and all of the animals. It was really neat. We didn't pass by hardly any single person without them commenting on how cute the kids looked. They were all cowboy'd up!! Wyatt even stopped at the boot shop to get his boots polished! WOW! That was so neat for him. They did great and it was a fun trip!

The Weekend

It's been a while since I've posted anything. Busy as usual. Wyatt was sick last Thursday and Friday. I took him to the Dr. and he had bronchitis. He was never too bad, but is much better. However, as a result, he has been used to staying at the house and not wanting to leave! So Saturday morning Carson made him go to work with him. Wyatt fought him, hard! It was terrible and sad to watch. Wyatt was screaming and bawling and asking Tatum to help him!! He just didn't want to leave the house and didn't want to go to work. Lots of hits were given by him to Carson and he sobbed incessantly! It was horrible to watch. Carson called once they got down the road and Wyatt was fine. He did say that once Wyatt was in the car, he told Carson, "Carson... this is going to be a terrible day for me. I just want you to know!". But it didn't take but 20 minutes of Wyatt helping Daddy load his big truck with a full load of cattle for him to be happy. He kept telling Carson that he was loading too many in the trailer and that it wasn't going to hold them all. He was quite the help, Carson said! He came home so happy and told me, "Shelley.... my trailer looks good in poop! " Ha! I'm trying to work on him calling me Mommy, again. I don't like when he calls me Shelley. Oh well. He's been pretty good and plays hard with his sister!
We went to Sunday School and Church Sunday and Wyatt was great! We went out to eat and saw Mrs. Millican and Mrs. Archer (his teachers from school). He was soooo excited to see them. Especially after missing 2 days of school last week! Carson and I got Ashly Keim to come babysit yesterday afternoon and the kids had a ball! They LOVE her! She's the best! She really plays with them. They did not want her to leave! It's nice knowing you can leave and your kids are in good hands and happy to be there! Well, off to get Wyatt from the school bus. I have some pictures to download when I get to my other camera. Hopefully it won't take me too long!

Dress Up!

Here's Gus, Tatum, Sage & Wyatt! We went to Sahala's and the kids had a ball playing! Of course, they changed clothes several times and played hard! The girls were princesses and Wyatt was our typical naked cowboy! (Check out those belts!) Anyway, we're glad they're all friends and have eachother!!

The Playhouse

Tatum asked if she could scramble me some eggs, (again!). She loves to cook and told me she's the best cook in the world! We're going to bake cookies after her nap.
Wyatt and Tatum are playing SO well together lately. I am so grateful. They're best friends and I love that they have each other. They played outside yesterday, in the playhouse. I was spying on them and they were pretending to sell "things". Tatum purchased a shotgun from Wyatt for "50 dollars, Mom!" What a steal! Then one of them would run outside of the playhouse, around to the window and pretend to order something. One time I went to the window and Wyatt opened it. He told me, "Sorry Sir. But we're not open today!" As he slammed the window in my faced and laughed hysterically. Carson and I were actually able to watch the football game on Sunday while they played outside in the playhouse. After a while, Wyatt asked, "Sir? Would you like to come to the show?" So I went out there and they had their money and table set up and were putting on a show! It was priceless. They were trying to offer me their chairs and hula hoops to play with and I suppose this was part of their 'show'. Anyway, I believe things are looking up and are going to be o.k.
